Just use the original injection baxter!
There's no round port carb manifolds iirc.

iv got xmas week off, 22nd on, i can just about do an engine change in that coldness, i dont know where i could be ****d to do a tank change in the snow out side lol

Why the hell would you want some old carb on a 1600?
You will loose power and reliability.

But if your going do it best option is use a 1300 inlet. Even then the ports are way off.

a friends old nova used to have freshly built 1650 gsi/gte engine running a downdraught 32/34 webber and a ashley system. the ports were way different lol and only showed 101bhp on the rolling road.

Bike carb it, there are manifolds available for the gte engine;)

I read about a GSi on a Weber 32/34 in MAX Power years ago, the Black Irish one on 17" MIM Raffino's.

Maybe a dremel session with the inlet & head ports is is order.

tank is pretty easy to do... :)

Also, I have a spare 1600 head somewhere ;)

i need the block first hinty hint lol

i really want to go injection onlu due to its so much better, and my 1.4 has to tick over at over 2000rpm just to keep it self going, do you knoww how much the fuel is lol
