carbs

since my carbs went out of balance, i have had them re-balanced and it runs smoothly but is flat as a fart it has no power anymore, there is also a faint knocking but i cant tell what it is, could the carbs being out of balance have messed up the timing or something?

i cant really offer much help, but maybe the carbs are running too lean or too rich, or a combination of that and timing out maybe ? tricky setting twin carbs up as theyve gotta be jetted right and you need the mixture and timing set up in harmony, any other way they run pants from what ive seen.
ive heard someone mention putting locktite on the carb adjuster screws aswel, so when theyre set up, they stay setup, as i can imagine they can rattle the screws out of adjustment.
