View Full Version : 20xe - oil in water but no water in oil

just bought an xe out of a corsa, engine ran but there was loads of gunk in the header tank and engine misfired a little so i assumed it was head gasket but theres no water in the oil so im thinking porous head maybe:confused: any ideas anyone?

no its not porous, its cracked.

easy repair if you search on here or mig for Joff-Turbo and his head fix

yeah it will have cracked (known as being porous) if there is gunk/mayo in the header tank and the oil is clear..

I would say that 'porous' is a better word tbh - I know that it actually isnt porous, but a cracked head - in the instance of teh water and oil mixing like in a blender - it would barely run.

I have had both and when 'porous' I ran it for 3 years - it was fine, just needed a flush.

The cracked head lasted about 2 days before I melted a piston. lol
