You need the early cav/astra single v xe alternator and top adjusting bracket, as well as the single v bottom pulley which will need the outer face machining off.

would that be the same as the C20ne engine

(taken from my wip.)

seeing as the cav was multi v driven, i had to bin the bottom pulley and alternator, along with it's mounting bracket, and fitted the bottom bracket....

....Along with the early top bracket from a scrap mk2 gte xe i had.

The scrap astra also gave up it's bottom pulley, which i had machined, then fitted, along with a new belt.

Iirc the alternator and bottom bracket are the same on the c20ne., but the top adjusting bracket and bottom pulley are early xe only.

I used my orginal Late XE 'nator, but being a later engine the inlet manifold bolt points up (as johns pics shows) so I found a bracket on the Vaux EPC and when direct to Vaux to get it:

I used a V pully that was from one of a bunch of old alternators I had lying around, with spacers so that it tucked in nicely against the body of the 'nator so i didnt have to mod the chassis leg (which i later did anyway as it rubbed under heavy cornering)

Part no is 90323607 (70 amp alt) or 90409833 (for 90amp) there are more bolts and washers and things to but im sure the parts guy at Vaux can look them up. (under Cav/vectra A, c20xe, Alternator fittings)
