It looks to me like it has one, it comes up on our dvla linked look-up system at work as a GSi, and its registered as a 2000cc good lad:thumb:

if you read the ad it's actually a 2.1 tho lol

Yeah but at least its still registered as a 2ltr with a slightly overbored block, rather than a 2ltr engine reg`d as a 1.2 (or in this case 1.6) as 99% of the rest of them are lol

The alloys are far too small :p

Other than that it looks nice :)

My nova is insured as a 2l 8v but on log book at a 1.6. Should I change?

Not that I would do that

looks like a nice base for a gsi restore with low owners and miles.Just needs gsi kit and engine.

because it dose not have speedlines and a full gsi body-kit on it

I love the way someone has attacked the master cylinder/servo and wiper bottle with silver paint and not bothered to mask off the engine bay :D

Yes because the tax is wrong so youre risking getting bum loved by the dvla

also if its a 1.6 at loged as a 2.0 will that not void the insurance much like having a 1.2 on the log book and having a 2.0 ltr engine

Theoretically no as the engine in the car is the one insured not the other way around, if it were insured as a 1.6 then yes thats technically insurance fraud or just plain fraud (which kinda applies having a bigger engine but only payin tax for a smaller one)

I had the same as my old XE was reg`d as a 1.2i merit when i bought it, i insured it as an XE then when i got paid the next month put the new engine number on the V5 and took it to my local dvla office to re register it and pay the extra tax to take it to the higher bracket:thumb:

Isn't a fine enough for these people

Also isnt 1.6 the same tax bracket as a 2.0?

My bad yes it is lmao, but having said that they will find some ghey way of charging you for something or sending you a fine, everything has to be declared these days so id swap it if i were you mate just to cover your own back!

maybe, but if the owner cant be bothered to change log book, i doubt he insured it proper aswell
