my uncle is not taking it in the forests until he has the whole underneath guarded in kevlar as it is so clean!

he is also putting a better sump gaurd on and changing a few of the front suspension parts to put it onto forest spec..

i went a run in it the day we picked it up and it is amazing! it goes like fook, wasnt even revving it that hard but it was pulling like a train. the noise inside it is mental. dont know whats better, the xe on r1 carbs or the sccr/lsd whining away..just so cool!

mk2's are worth alot.. really good ones with 2.4 millington diamond, 6 speed sequential box ect can be worth 50k plus..

ari vatinens ex works escort was for sale a few months ago for 112k..

this one was advertised at about 20k but we traded in an impreza rally car against it.

the mcrae stages this year was fantastic! best rally i have ever been to and could be the best! nearly every escort was flat out! far better to watch than 4wd wrc's imo..

as vaughan said the stobart mk2 that malcolm wilson was driving at the weekend was a bit of kit.. was impressive to watch!

Yeah i was on the second stage and then the last which got cancelled because of Jimmy Mcrae crashing bout 4 corners after me :(. but i got lots of video's. there just not uploading on to youtube for some stupid reason.

But was one of the best rally's ive been to.

dont know the full spec, all steel block bored out to 2.1, omega pistons, re-profiled cams, fancy head, 4 branch and competition exhuast system, bike carbs, mocal oil cooler, alloy radiator, fully lightened and balanced..

Thats a nice motor with a decent spec and it didnt cost you the price of a Nova.

We have some of the best specce'd Mk2s next to the fins here, ranging as far as €60k. Indeed a **** cool car with massive potential.

As for the Asconas and Mantas, take a look in www.totalopel.com (http://www.totalopel.com) as we got some epic examples.

As for the RWD Spec Rally Cars, Youtube RPM Donegal International Rally to see some proper Mk2 Steering.

On the front of Flat 2 the Mat? It was runnign a 4x4 set up but looked **** due to the increased Wheel base.

Enda Keenan's Mk2 is well worth a Google or Youtube.

3 week before the RAC it was just sitting as an unpainted (caged & prepped) shell, pretty much every part on it was brand new, even made a brand new wiring loom for it ! wouldn't like to think how much £££ went into it.
It finally left the workshop on the friday afternoon (the day of the rally) !
