Outside only - approx ?700.
Colour change (inside/engine bay and etc) - approx ?1,700.
There isn't really a BEST yellow to go for, it's just up to your own personal preference. Get some colour charts, or get some tins of yellow paint that you like the look of from halfords, and spray a spare panel (get one from a scrappy) and see what you think. Or have a look at yellow cars in a dealership, and write down the colour code (found on the vin plate) - ask to see under the bonnet, and have a sneaky look.
Old Ford Daytona Yellow! Great shade!

I'm looking at doing a yellow nova sometime soon. BMW Dakar Yellow is nice. Also the lighter shade on the new minis/VW Beetles is good.
It depends on what you like.
Full proper (derusting, insuie and out not just masking round the windows but getting them out) will set upi back anywhere between ?1500 to ?2000
Do it yourself for about ?800 if you hire the paint, build spray booth etc...
Use 2 pak and have fun
:P

looks like the yellows that they have on ferraris. quit nice. i wanted to do the smae kinda thing with big black or anthracitw wheels. quoted 300 to 600 for outside spray!
Make friends with someone who works in a bodyshop or a friend of a friend etc. Make things a lot cheaper.

Do it yourself. Hire a good compressor for the weekend. Use a good sized garage, cover the floor with water (keeps the dust down). Prime the whole car first (not too heavy, just dust it with the first coat, do 3 to 4 light coats, wait about 30mins between coats). When touch dry about 2 to 3 hrs, tag rag off, then apply top coats in the same way as primer. Next day when paint is dry lightly sand with 1200 grade wet/dry (use wet). The paint will then look flat ( be careful at edges when using wet/dry). Dry car completely, tag rag off again, then apply lacquer in the same way as before. The key to spraying is to keep everything as clean as possible and don't rush it. This is how I sprayed my car ( view it on OTHER NOVAS, it's the Fast & Furious one), if I can do it anyone can. Use a good quality 2 pack , it should cost under ?500 in total. As for colour try fluorescent yellow, but you must basecoat the car in white first. HAPPY SPRAYING!!!!
