Have now fitted my throttle bodies to my X16XE, all wired up, fuel lines in etc. Mate has downloaded the software for my MBE management, plugged the laptop in, switched the ignition round once so battery light etc comes on.

At this point 'all is well'

then turned ignition to start engine and nothing, I can here the fuel pump but the car won't even try and turn over whatsoever.

My feeling is the starter motor is knackered, just wondering if there is anything else I should be looking at?

Cheers

P.S one thing I haven't done is fit the lambda sensor, whether this makes a difference i'm not sure.

Run a large battery cable/jump lead to the +ve starter terminal to see if it spins over.

Any earths missing off?

as said, except its easier to stick a spanner between the two posts of the starter solenoid to see if it spins. the battery is hard wired to the positive anyway so this is essentially the same as using jump leads.

sounds like a sticky solenoid, faulty starter or switch,

Lambda has nothing to do with the starter circuit.
