i know that the vauxhall engines are bullet proof but what are the 2.0 8v like.

what sort of BHP could i expect standard?

2.0 8v valve are a very good engine.. some say they are better than C20XE. depends on power.. C20NE is 115bhp standard and C20SEH is 130bhp standard.

i might be swapping my car for a 2.0 8v but didnt really know. so does it run at 115 or 130?

yeah you wont know unless you know what the engine is out of.. or search for engine codes.

if its an 8v sri before 1993 it will be the 20seh 130bhp engine otherwise it'll be the c20ne 115bhp engine.
And all the 2.0 8vs are literally bulletproof, its the 16v ecotecs that you want to avoid.

Look at the engine code on the front of the block... Bit of a give away really lol
