Since having an eBay account I have managed to get hold of all the old car/truck films I had which were taped off the telly when I was a little 'un.

They include the likes of:

Smokey and the Bandit. (2nd & 3rd are not quite as good so haven't bothered)
Cannonball Run 1 & 2, still trying to get Cannonball Fever.
Convoy
The Great Smokey Roadblock.
Stroker Ace
Road Games
Maximum Overdrive
Mad Max Trilogy

Can anyone recommend any other old cheesy car/truck movies that I can add to my collection? :thumb:

Cheers,

Shaun.

hmmm you could kindof class the mad max series as car/truck films and they're certainly a bit cheesy. A good old car film is the original vanishing piont, there was a remake in the nineties i think thats terribly cheesy iirc.

Sure is, the opening scene with the E-type is my favorite part, that and the diner brawl with the cops.

Convoy is my favorite film of all time. I have it on DVD twice one for home and one for my van. I've also just got some chrome Aviators (duck inspired) for my birthday, result

The original VP is not cheesy :( the new one is just sh!t though.

If you're including things like the above, how about Easy Rider - not a car/truck movie but still an essential movie along the same lines.

Going back to cheese - Taxi (uber-cheese!), and the Transporter movies. Not old, but worth having :D

death race 2000 - not the remake - the original!

Classic.

The Wraith - think thats what it was called - kid gets killed in car crash and comes back from the dead in a sooped up car going round killing the punks who killed him.

Christine - classic car horror!
Also - "the car" - a blacked out satin finish Lincoln killing anyone who dared get in its way!

mentally class!

and you have to get the original hitcher - just for the pulling the girl apart between 2 trucks...

utter class!

and finally - lets not forget the "dead pool" - Dirty Harry - just for the remote control car chase!

uber classic!

two lane blacktop... two stoners & a girl hitchhiker in a seriously fast 55 chevy race a bloke in a pontiac gto across america for the pink slips.......
compulsory late night after the takeaway viewing.....

the film 'Get Carter' the original, has tons of cars & chases thus it is great for nostalgia.

original Italian Job is a must for everyone, even though the bit in the tunnel is crap cos the passengers suddenly disappear..... then reappear

dodgy Xmas viewing from years back, Monte Carlo or Bust, a dodgy edwardian style live action Wacky Races.... most amazing bit is that the sportscars were really rebodied AC cobras

The two great motor race films, Grand Prix, & leMans, need adding.. GrandPrix is all about the thrills, if you don't enjoy it then you have no soul, then leMans, it is about mens obsession with surviving twice round the clock, pitting their wits & skill against the track.....

add this classic to your list....
infantile sexual humour, dubious innuendo, Linda Bellingham (the OXO mum) getting just one knocker out, tony blair's father in law trying to shag anything in a skirt, in other words, a classic
