well the nova is a 1.6 8valve and the corsa is a 1.6 16vavle so if they were both standard i think the corsa would beat a nova on performance.

But i think corsa might be abit heavier, i took a passenger door of a corsa in work this week .. it was all built up but had manual windows and mirrors but was still heavy as fark.

I'm not sure on gearbox but I think they had similar wheel/tyre sizes.

nova is miles better overall, ie looks, cheaper parts, lighter etc... but as far as speed then the corsa i spose due to more power in the engine, but only just i reakon... but at the end of the day, stick the 1.6 16vlave in the nova as well and we all know wot would win :lol:

I think the nova will win cuz whenever i have been out in my mates Nova SRi and we come up againt Corsa GSi there hasn't been much in it at all they only edge very slightly away until about 3500 RPM in 4th gear so i reckon the Nova GSi :D will stay with the Corsa GSi if not pull away from it..

my brother has raced corsa GSi's in his nova GSi before and has pissed all over them and his engine is totally standard !!!!! I think people only think there fast coz they make that grunty noise from the induction kit when give a bit of shit !!!! in my opinion there shit, a right girls car !!!!

Nerr i have a 1.4 sr Nova and have managed to be almost even with a corsa gsi and we were both racing hard and i have also raced a gsi nova which slapped my ass hard so obviously the nova gsi is quicker. Its lighter and i think the novas were to built to last longer than these gay little corsas i see so many corsas pulled over with engine trouble and to be honest i dont see many novas over even though they are fcuk loads older. My mum has a 1.4sri 16v corsa and me and my bro have raced both of them thinking oh well the corsa is 16v its gonna beat my nova but i battered it and this is on a straight both of the races im talking about. the new engines just arent built as well as the old ones i think. They have taken exhaust emmissions into account more than sheer power. Hands down the Nova will win sorry for all the rich boys with crosa gsi's but u have wasted your money on a girls wannabe sports car :lol: unlucky lads (or girls)!

its the lighter bodyshell and less restrictive parts on the engine/exhaust system that makes the nova slightly faster even tho the corsa has more power. long live the nova i say!!!
