which is the best manifold to go for? I know some people have struggled with the clearance of the alternator and i would like to avoid this if possible.
So which one should i go for?
Cheers.
Only Sbd(jenvey) do them iirc.
And it seems the latest Jenvey ones give problems with the alternator position.
DONT get the one i have, (new jenvey one), what a farcking pain in the ass it is!

Do tweeks list one adam? Take a look ar geordie-chris' car, his inlet clears fine.

Still not properly sorted it yet either.:(

Id put money on the fact that everyone that lists them buys them from sbd/jenvey, and then sells them on....
Iirc phil sutton had a manifold from somewhere that fitted fine too, that wasn't sbd/jenvey. Might be worth dropping him a pm to see where he had it from.
If i could figure the alternator situation easily (when i have time Lol) then i'd say get the jenvey manifold as it's cracking.
what is the problem you are having with the alternator?
It sits where the carb wants to lol
With the new jenvey inlet, the o/s carb totally fouls the alternator, it make sit way too low. The alternator would have to be dropped approx 1-1 1/2 inches in order to make it clear, meaning i'd have to lose most of the chassis leg. Imo the front mount alternator is the easiest solution.
