Hi! Ive just bought a 1.2 Nova. Ive done up the outside, the interior but now i need some quality ICE. Im 17 and dont have much cash to spend so where can i get some cheap but good qualiy speakers, amp e.t.c...
Thanks!
For ?250, you can get the following:2x1" Tweeters
2x5" Mid Ranges
2x6"x9" 3-ways
2x8" Subs
2x4" Mid-Range
2x1" Tweeters
2x12" Subs (400watt Peak each)
1x800watt amp (peak power)
And all cables for fiting supplied.
The sound quality is alrite, the quanitity is brilliant, however none of it is quality named brands such as Pioneer, Rockford etc. It is cheap stuff like X-bass. This will provide all, high, mid, low range music. Personally, from the system i heard it played on it sounded the bollocks. It might be easy to blow, but i heard it some-ones Escort, it sounded good. It was run from a SONY X-Plod head unit which cos him ?94. It has one RCA, which is all you need (you can split them later if you wish to add more amps and subs) and it will power all the speakers. Not bad considering in total it only cost him ?375 inc. delivery. You may want to ask someone else who has them speakers first, but i think that it's quite a good deal. However, if you want quality, you will have to pay more. Its up to you what you want though. It was from T.F.G. Audio Supplies 0191 261 24 45. You can see this advert in the back of Revs.

?250?
Students aren't made of money, or atleast I'm not.
I'd advise a trip down to Cash Converters
There is a cheaper system ?110 i'm not sure exactly what you get, but it i think it is a 12" 400watt sub, 600watt amp and 200watt 3-way 6"x9"s. Or 2x15" subs for ?60. It is the cheapest ICE i've seen, but there might be something else out there, you just have to keep looking.
u can sometimes get some alrite deals on www.caraudiodirect.com for sale forum. As for ice, id go for fronts and a sub with an amp. 6x9s are a waste of time if you got subs, and subs are far better.
There is some cars where 6x9s can offer a decent mid bass and rear car fill but these need to be sectioned off from the subs and in a nova your just not gona do it.
if u cant afford a lot, just get a 12" sub and a amp. Some 6x9's for the back too, fade it to the back and leave the fronts playing treble. Get some low pass filters for the 6x9's too. They take the bass out of them and leave it to the sub. You don't even need a cross-over either.
