just got an LSD help plz!

hi lads today i decided to buy an LSD for my 16v nova, could some one please tell me if there any good and will it help me on the strip or is its only advantage in the corners and wet? my dad says it will make my car challenging to drive is this true or will it drive like a std f20box?
lastly i bought the quaffe lsd with a complete f20 box for ?350 is this an average price? it was from motorsport direct :wink:

Quaife sell their ATB LSD for over ?500 new so you've done OK.

It takes some getting used to - read what the journos have been bellyaching on about with the new Focus RS.
I found tho that you quickly adapt to the different feel. It tends to pull the front of the car about from side to side under heavy acceleration or where grip is poor.

Its best effect is accelerating off roundabouts and bends but it also helps faster starts. Get grippy tyres (soft compound)
I added an ATB LSD and changed from Continentals to Toyo Proxes T-1S and lowered my quarter miles time by nearly 3/4ers second
