Its never worked properly since i put my mk2 dash in, But is it shafted when the little metal bar inside,(the one with the wheel type thing next to the springs) has snapped or can you make/modify something else to make it work?

Pull it open and pull the springs out of it mate, if youre lucky you can sit it all back together again while its open, if not just pull the springs out and it will be a pull out to turn on and push in to turn off operation!

Basically yes, thats all the unbreakable ones on ebay are!

Cant break if its already broken can it, i did this in my red 1.2 mate and it works fine and you need not worry about it breaking and leaving your hazards on (or wedging it into the dash with a couple of pennys haha)

As said. Just take it apart and remove the springs.
Then pull on, push off.
Will never give problems again.
