A renault 5 Turbo (standard - with a turbo that is not blown!) will be faster than a standard Nova Gsi/GTE according to Max poo.

A renault 5 Campus on the other hand is a very different story..... A 2CV dolly wud probably beat it.

the thing is they are VERY light, absolutely useless in a crash i reckon.
i have been in one, they are very rapid on acceleration, even as standard.
havnt raced one yet,wouldnt really want to in my 14sr cos i know itd be beaten,but ill give it a go once me gsi conversion is in!
but they do top out at around 100-110 ish cos they only tiny little engines.

i am a good driver!
my poor little sr has been so cained now though it is so not as fast as it was when i bought it!
it did beat a 2.0 litre cavalier(gls!!) with 4 people in it the other day(my sr with 2 people in it)
should of cin there faces-they expected to piss on the nova!
but havin been in a gt turbo i dont think my sr would stand MUCH of a chance.
it depends on weight of car eg the cav=heavy shed,gt turbo lighter than the nova+turbo'd.

I have to admit i do like the styling of the R5 GTT.
The standard models of it were a steaming great pile of poo... but the GTT looks like what it is, mean and fast.

I prefer the nova, don't get me wrong, but i think the styling of the renault 5 GT Turbo suits the car perfectly.

renault 5gt turbo's are absolutley shit, there the most ugliest car I'v ever known and are baisically shit, and they must need major engine work to produce 300bhp from a 1.4 turbo !!!!!! all they seem to do is blow up when they get to about 100mph, TOTALLY SHIT in my opinion, and if u have been reading revs over the past few monthe they were doing a compatition between a renault 5gt turbo and an astra GTE 16v and the astra totally creamed all over it !!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

I got a clio... standard one (as well as my two novas).
Doesn't look anything special i gotta admit but it don't really look sh*t, I don't think so anyway.

The old Renault 5's were crap, but I like the styling of the GTT.
The new megane... well.. waht the hell is that all about - not sure the world is ready for it yet - looks more like a concept car to me.

... and can you really say the 3.0 V6 clio looks sh*t? It looks mean as f**k. Might not be everyones taste, and may not be as powerful as you would think, but I would have one if i had the spending pennies to get one, and they fuel and insure it :D

Renaults are made by people who drive on the wrong side of the road.

However I will admit that some of renault offerings have been good, The idea to mount a 3.0 V6 in the back of a supermini has to be the daftest and the greatest thing they've done.

I'm not saying they're the worst looking cars on the road, but they could look better.
