Why not buy the correct starter for a 1.0 and be sure that way?

Well just give it a shot . Get it up and have a look to see if they look similar ?
No harm done and take the old one off while your at it !!

the wiring is different. on the OHV theres a negative and a live coming from the solenoid. if i remember rightly, on the OHC the positive feed is taken from the heavy unswitched live to the battery and the solenoid terminal is pulled to earth to energise it. or it may be that one pin is grounded to the solenoid and it needs a switched live to energise. whatever way, its different. its simple to over come but dont expect a straight swap.
