Bought for ?70 last week. Sweet engine and gearbox. Lots of rust, but mostly superficial. My winter runabout, so not fussed about how good it looks, but it will be having all new panel work. Cheap ?100 respray some 40mm springs and 16v brakes.

Current brake pedal has as much 'travel' as the clutch pedal!

Anyway, here it is in all it's glory.......

Mmmm, 'bit' of rust.

Not to worry, my bodywork skills prevail! Notice top notch fuel filler mod.

Patched up fist sized hole in bottom of wing.

Not all that bad after wacking on some Astra GTE wheels!

Just make sure you only drive it at night.

And get the windows tinted.

So no-one can see you in it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Balaclavas get stuffy. I know someone with some tinted windows I might fit!

It ain't as bad as all that. I think it may actually look ok once I've finished it.

Nice wheeltrims!

Bleed your brakes to get rid of your spongy pedal, wouldn't be a bad idea to change the fluid.

I've got an arch replacement panel for the O/S if you wana talk prices

Narrr, brakes are going in the bin. Front calipers are shot. Tried to bleed the brakes. Did one side after unseizing the nipple. Did the other side, so corroded the nipple was, it snapped off, so we gave up. I have the old 16v brakes from my Astra before I rammed the V6 in there. So another free mod!

Got arch repair panels already. But cheers anyway.

No, bugger all tax and MOT, But tax is only ?50 or so for the 1.2 so not bothered.

I used black tape to get through 3 MOTs, you've got to remember that it's a visual inspection they can't touch the tape!

Yeah, I was thinking about putting cardboard and sellotape on the sills. lol

Replacing the lot anyway. Don't wanna be too embarrased. Come 3 weeks time, it'll be just a tidy, but boring old black Nova, just a bit lower than normal!

lol

Providing the engines sound and the undersides solid (boot area, sills, chassis etc) you've got a good un.

Amazing wot you can do with a welding torch and some sheet metal!

Arrrr, it'll look alright. Decided to mod it a bit really. Even though it's only my winter runabout. Trying to get some smoked rear lights and maybe some window tints. It's having all new panel work and vertually a whole respray. Got an SR front bumper and grill. Lowering it 40mm. Usuall stuff. Just for a laugh innit. I've spent all my money on the Astra, so only cheap stuff for the Nova. It'll look alright when it's done. Wouldn't mind getting the wheels chromed or sprayed anthracite.
