I know some of you do a bit of the mixing and I just wanted to know what set ups you have. I have got a pioneer 600 mixer, technic 1210 decks(customised) and stanton al500 mk2 carts.

I have some Gemini XL400 decks (belt driven, but all I could afford at the time :( ), a Gemini psp pro2 mixer and stanton carts. I really want to upgrade and get back into mixing, but all my money's going on my house and my Nova at the minute.

I have at home:
Soundlab DL3PR direct drive turntables with stantons and a mixer with kill switches on each channel and too many records. lol

Its what i learnt to mix on- but useless to me now(might sell soon)- as i spend so long djing in clubs and bars, last thing i want to do is come home and mix.

At the clubs i work in: 2x 1210s (or 1200s) with stantons
Denon 2000 series (or better) pro Twin cd player
Cloud mixing console

At majority of the clubs this seems to be the norm- definately the 1210s, sometimes a different mixer or lower specced denon.

I mix everything- if you want the work you have to be flexible.

Micky, you aint wrong about the Gemini decks. Even though mine are belt drive, they are really good. They hardly ever go out when mixing, I too have left records playing together without having to change the speed.

The only problem with belt drive is that you don't get the chance to scratch like you can with Direct Drive. Saying that, If you get yourself some decent carts, like concorde, then it should make things easier.

I mix dance, house and trance.

I can mix anything :D But at the mo I mix trance n techno and a bit of old skool hardcore...

I would quite like some 1200's, I want some of the special edition champagne ones... or the gold plated 1210's :D Fuckin lush.

My decks are Soundlab DLP3R's, nice old skool things but still work well. Mixer is a Gemini PS540i, best 2 chan mixer under 150 notes IMO.

Matt ya bastid! I want your mixer :D You should get some nice carts for ur decks m8, 500 MK2's shouldn't be put on classy dex like technics :) I have the AL500MK2's on mine too.

UKG is easy to mix... nice to cut n blend too, get ya mixer tricks out :D

Closest I come to mixing Gabba is playing 33rpm hardcore tracks on 45RPM and pitching them up as high as I can whilst still having room to manipulate for a mix.

Wikkid :D
