Flickering? If its just the gauge i'd just replace that.

Ok, so no life story then?

As said, you need to tell us if the car is suffering from it or if its just the Rev Counter thats effected.

Bad connection at the coil?

If its just the counter then swap it see if its better

I'd say its related to the wires at the coil or Earth fault.

When i changed my coil earlier in the week, the bright green wire that goes to the tacho broke clean off, so i just used a new terminal instead.
