why are the carbs sitting at a strange angle on most engines? approx 30degrees

because a straight inlet tract is better, so the carbs sit higher, & angled to increase flow.

not just that, the carbs have to be sat at the correct angle for the floats inside to be at the correct level, you need to know what angle they were at on the motorbike and fit them at a similar angle

As above. They are designed to sit on a angle so the float bowls are level.

look at the top of the bowl. you can imagine that sitting horizontal.

bogg bross make inlet manifolds designed for cars and bike carbs :thumb: other wise have a go like many others hav and try make them yourself

i dint know mate i don't really have a engineering background or the equipment to try either lol

I cannot remember how much they are seperatley as I bought mine with all the carbs as a full kit.
