Right i've just started my car, started warming her up... and i notice smoke from the front. So i have a look and the breather tank is blowing small amounts of smoke out of it.. So clearly a piston ring is on its way out.

I have spent soo much money on this car, i just cannot possibly spend any more. Ive ran out lol.

had new tyres on front, new ignition components.. Was running brilliantly.

Please will someone with a bit more knowledge of cars take this off me, and bring it back to it's former glory.

First with 2k take's it away :cry::cry:!

Thats alot of spec for little money.. i know if i broke it, id get more.. but i dont have the : Time, money, space or skills lol.

Just had a look at your pics. Car looks good. On your breather tank, should there not be a pipe on that bare outlet?

There is now mate. Pipercross filter on end of the breather tank.

Not sure just yet.. just gauging intrest.. If no-one wants the full car for a measly 2k.. A redtop's going in. Ill keep it up for sale for a week or 2 more, if no luck ill break it. Be ashame tho as this engine has had alot of money thrown at it. (chris who i got it off said he spent over 8k to turbo the engine)

He's a perfectionist. Paint started to come away from front arches abit. Just on the lip, where the tyres caught. And my sister (learner) clipped the back bumper, so some paint has flaked off. Got quoted 60 to respray all of the bumper.. :thumb:

The rear axle snapped on my saxo, not the nova. ill get some pictures tomorrow, its p!ssing down. the car has a smashed drivers quater window.. but that will get replaced before its sold. And Theres some paint flaked off the rear bumper.. no dents or scratches tho, so easily repair able. Still very cheap at 1500. Got someone coming with a mechanic so he can confirm it's just a ring. If that sale falls through, someone from dublin is coming to look at the car in a week with a flatbed truck, so it's unlikely he will go back empty handed. Oh and theres a full spec list on the pistonheads link, or under turbo feature cars.

Had the car running before.. but as soon as i took the jump leads off, it took a few seconds and died. Therefore the battery must need recharging properly, as the car had a brand new (recipt to prove) battery just before i took it off the road. I could only find them 2 rust patches, which are on the front right wing.. rear arches, battery tray, boot floor.. are all solid. No other rust anywhere.

Gsi bumpers with number plate cut out for intercooler, delocked and dehandled, resprayed in super black, underneath painted aswell, headlight protectors, Clear rear lights.

Nova GTE seats half cream leather, door panels leathered to match with speakers in rear panels, boost gauge where clock was, digi dash, Gen vauxhall nova mats in black, calibra turbo steering wheel.

ICE/Security:
CD player, amp, vibe 6X9's, Sony explod sub. Clifford cat one 950i alarm with auto start and door poppers on fob, turbo timer built in.

Had a rebuild done less than 1k miles ago. just had new dizzy, cap, rotary arm, leads, plugs etc, in other words all of the ignition brand new. 2x195/45/16 brand new tyres on the front.

do it yourself, engine out, head off, and knock piston out, fit rings and get a ring compressor, pop back and put back together, cheaper than payng someone to rebuild it!

mark the old owner, built it, 1 month later it was going round the ring on its limiter, im sure it got towed back aswell, then all the problems with the cam shaft snapping, then all the fueling problems lol
