Chopping slam panel

The bit of the slam panel that goes down beside the radiator here:

Is that bad if I remove it, or take a large chunk out of it? I can bodge the rad so it mounts from the top, and still have the centre spar in place...

[edit] yes I know its very rusty and has a large bit missing inside the wing lol

no jack, the slam panel will flex and the bonnet will buff around at speed and will be dangerous, also causing the lights to bounce. if you remove it you will require extra strengthening of 10 men.

as said it'll flex alot. however if you weld some box section up under the slam panel it will be fine
