hey people am looking to buy an ibook,
am a windows kid through and through,
now discovering macs and how good they are for designing etc and being a so called designer i think i should invest in one.

could you guys help me out about models to go for, not to go for etc
i have been looking at G3 and G4 models. and i guess G5 will be out of my price range.

Macs are ok, Im a windows geeza too but some programs for my field of work (Audio Engineer) can only be bought on a MAC i.e Logic.

But have to say, I used to hear things like 'Mac's never crash blah blah etc'

Had a Power Mac Dual G5 crash so many times during a post production project it really got on my nerves couldnt believe it infact.

Im looking to get an iMac 24'' around a grand and probably on finance as it works out very affordable on monthly payment for a year. I'm not the one for carrying stuff around anyway as theres not much you can really do in a coffee shop tryna edit and audio track or mix lol.

Just have a look around mate think about what type of performance you need.

Personally I would get a 21" imac. That's what I use at work and they are cracking, and cheap enough now. A company called Jigsaw do them here is a link:
