found this on the bay afew days ago, going over on the weekend due to work so going to check this out, hopefully can get it or a gd price will make a nice project over the winter. Anyone know whats involved importing a car or can I just bring it back on the ferry?. cheers

You cant just drive them back as it needs plates the minute it arrives in dover.

I thought so, Maybe I could ask my mate to bring it back on a trailer covered & sort out the plates & paperwork later on. only saw this afew days ago havnt really thought this far a head. I have wanted one of these for a while seems to good to miss. Im going over there thurs so will see what happens. cheers for the info.

you can bring it on a trailor no problems as long as yo have german eqv of the V5.

Needs a little welding & tlc by the sounds of it.

1.Hand Irmscher AG. (True allegedly followed the vehicle from the boss) After an employee had bought it and had it from 1993 until now in his possession. So something special!

The vehicle has Irmscher verspoilerung,
Bumpers front / rear,
Skirts (L & R) are not mounted on the vehicle! Was disassembled after rust around to look. Are also here.
Irmscher sport steering wheel,
Irmscher sport exhaust,
Aluräder Irmscher,
Engine 1.3 i Irmscher,
4 New tires,
New oil change,
New brakes bled,
New oil filter
Bremsflüssichkeit New,
New brake discs
New brake lining

Deficiencies:
Vehicle has rust on the side walls left and right.
In the battery box and the under side of doors rust easier approach.
Caliper solten be made passable, it's not ever a cylinder.
Canopy has a crack left and right. (New hiding there for 330 €)
Backseat bank fire hole of cigarette.
Slight left front fender Damaged
Left front bumper scratched.

Otherwise Technically super!

I have spoken to him regarding the sale he wants 1500 euros to end auction.
I think it needs £1500/£2k spending on it to make it mint, My only prob is my mate cant help me out as hes using his trailer for work so I'll prob have to let it go for now. Must be pretty rare never seen one in red before only white. Will just have to see what happends to the auction doubt it will reach reserve.

I remember a friend of mine(An old PNG'er) flying out to Germany to get his Spider. He picked it up and drove it back accross Europe on his Sport plates then swapped to german plates when he got to the UK. Very risky but it worked :s
