There is a 1.4 sr carb engine on ebay. i have a 1.2 spi. would i be able to change the 1.4 engine to run injection? it has no manifolds so i would have to buy these anyway! cheers dave

It shouldnt be too difficult.

Your Injection system should be a direct fit but as the SR engine will have a Mechanical Fuel Pump on it, it'll need to be removed and blanked off. You May need a 1400 SPI Brain but its possible the 1200i item will do.

If you get the SR engine you'll have all you need to do it, but all you'll end up with is the same set up as a 1400 SPI Astra.

Yeah, thats all. But from memory the 1200i one shoudl do the trick but I'd like someone else to confirm it though.

You may as well put a decent engine in if your gonna swap it. Your insurance will go up with it having an engine conversion as it will be a moddified car
