View Full Version : engine transplants
hey can someone tell me if it is possible to get a 2 litre turbo into a nova without the chasis bending when you accelerate? somebody told me that you can get a calibra 2 litre engine in with a turbo, is this true and does anybody know how much a 2 litre turbo engine is?

there are loads of novas appearing with 2.0 turbos now.
If you are thinking of doing it, here is some advice.
Make sure you trust the garage/person doing the work for you. budget about ?1000 more than you first thought(or maybe even more eh Rick D!!!) and it is definately worth getting the strengthening kit fitted at the same time.
I was going to do a 2.0 16v conversion, but I got screwed over by a garage and my car was eventually stripped and sold as parts and is now spread far and wide!! :( At least I know most of it went to some other decent cars though!)

You've got to remember to do everything in the same scale. You WILL need bigger brakes for example. I don't mean to offend, but can you handle that much power? Just think about it?
