Been thinking today what smells i like/dislike for a random thing to pass the time at work.. thought it mite make a good thread..

My fav ones are

Burning Rubber, Only Certain Tyres tho lol

Halfords Aersol Laquer(duno why lol)

Creasalt(sp) that old fence coating thingy.


My Least favs are

Black sambucca altho i can drink it like water lol

mushrooms but again i can eat them lol

soderash(a chemical we use at work) makes you sneeze untill your nose bleeds if you inhale tomuch of it lol

Quick lime same as above really

and lastly sulphur my god does that make u ill lol

Love the smell of castrol r 2 stroke burning with petrol, Certain r/c model fuels, especially jet fuels, and as mentioned before, burning rubber!

Least fave has to be gearbox oil for some weird reason :confused:

i love the smell of rocker covers, or oil caps. it doesnt smell like oil, and it doesnt smell like petrol. its a mix of both and its lovely.

i dont know if anyone on here knows what im talking about though but its true.

You can if you can prove you need it. Useless facts: it doesnt hurt as much as acetone does when you get either in your eye, and it tastes better lol.

Fantastic smells: freshly made bread, newborn babies, tarmac (laid by other people, if I'm doing it, I hate it), freshly cut wood, castrol r (if you have never been to a classic car race meeting, you haven't lived), drag racing at the pod, A proper beef steak, smokey bacon, Ponchinello's pizza house in Hinckley, country air at sunrise (it makes you feel alive like no other), the seaside...

Bad smells: Birmingham, school dinner veggies, a sheep dip, human sewage, GRP, creme caramel (I've hated that since I was a child), the sense you get in your nose just before the headmaster gives you a b#llocking, the worst is the smell of death, every animal produces it after a few hours..
