A 1600 DOHC engine is lighter than a GM 1200 8v engine. Really??!!

Brakes wise go with 2.0 ones. assuming you running wheels big enough for them to clear. Suspension wise a decent set of shocks and springs should do the job.

Just one qeustion..... how you make it fit as the engine/box combined are as wide as a Nova and weight about as much as a Cav! There is no way the engine is ligther then a 1200cc!

Seconded.

What size wheels? Weigh the car on a weighbridge and go from there. I would also be surprised if the engine was lighter than a 1200 8v, as well as how you got it to fit.

Mike, wasn't it the gearbox that hangs out? I remember someone doing it, the engine fitted but the gearbox was pretty much all in the passenger side wheel arch lol
