View Full Version : Cav Gsi Fuel Pump Problem

my mate had his head gasket changed on his cav gsi now he cant start his car ive had a look and its not getting fuel, the fuel pump isnt engaging i dont know if any wires for the pump got damaged when the head was off or if the fuel pump relay was damaged
does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?

is it getting spark? can you hear the injectors clicking?

i say thats the problem,

the plug should be on the wing under the airfilter lol

check or change the crank sensor, check the fuel pump relay, check all the wiring. then take it back to whoever did it.

checked the relay still no pump, how can i test the pump can i run a live to the relay? is it the thick red & blue wire that runs to the pump?

Give the relay a smack!

Have any earths been left off from doing the HG? Earths for the loom around fuel rail area?

what i dont get it, how the hell you can fudge the pump up doing a head gasket change, the pumps at the back of the car lol

you have unpluged something and not pluged it back in simple,

what codes are being flashed up ?
