Hey all, is it normal to have lots of rust under the headlights?

well soz for all of you who have but I AINT!!!.

i was rather surprised with it, no rust AT all under the car exept rear wheel arches, checked most common places but nothing, ...

under the headlights is quite common for rust mate, did you check your front lower crossmember? rust usually hides in there...

basically the full bottom foot of the car WILL rot, so check everything. also check sunroof mech areas too. but its all paet of the fun!

no rust, hmmmmmmm, i'd be worried. thats like having no oil leaks, it just aint right...

There is a new paint brought out specifically for novas, it makes them invisible......


Rust remover lol

All novas have rot on them bud, just depends wherethey have lived (e.g. the seaside) as to where they rot!

Well, to be honest none of mine have rust there either, the youngest nova now is 15yrs old and the oldest 25yrs old, so its not unrealistic to think that some have rust where as some have been looked after a bit more, so its not uncommon to have a clean or a rotten Nova really.

cwoa, never had a medal, cheers mate lol,

nope, had it up the garage today on the hydraulic lift, no rust on crossmember, although little wear on the anti roll bars,

i got a pic of the headlight bay,

Mine didnt HAVE ANY rust under the head lights, infact the rest of the car was pretty much spotless! but this is what the cross member looked like:
