I need the nova gone as soon as poss upto now ive had one offer, do you think im asking too much for it Or is it just one of them cars somebody would struggle to make it their own.

Its going on ebay within the next few weeks pistonheads and the usual but wondered your views on the sale price etc etc etc.

My way of looking at it is the bodywork, paint and car etc way exceeds the asking price lol by about 2k lol

I dont think its overpriced at all tbh bud its just no fcuker has any money to be buying cars at this point in time, is there no way or nowhere you could keep it stashed away anywhere as its well worth your asking price and more as you say with the man hours alone but then again in a lot of peoples eyes its only a K-plate 1ltr (not dissin it btw)

To be blunt its just a Nova with a new paintjob and wheels. They are never worth even close to what you spend on them.I like it alot but would not buy it

I think cars like yours take a while to sell, thats all. Put it on a few other forums, if you still get no joy stick it on eBay.

Seems reasonably priced, for what it is.

Probably a little high, but then again normal nova's are selling for silly prices. :thumb: It may also be because its a 1.0 and its euro styling that is putting some people off as they may think it to much work to change into something a bit closer bto standard!

As said above, no one has much money to be splashing about on new project cars etc etc!!

to me its just a 1.0 nova lol so no offence is taken whatso ever i sold my last mint shell for £600 which was virtually a running car lol E967ANB, Andy racer will vouch for that. Again that had a full hit but i made my money back from the cage, suspension etc.

This has had a lot more work hence the larger price. I think realistically if somebody offered me £1500 i would take it.

I need to put the xe in it really but then the price would also creep up.

Ummm... not too sure what to do with it i think i'll regret selling it once its gone, but its holding most my money atm.

I'm confused. You say its holding most of your money, yet you were considering an Evo the other week. Please, tell me where i can get an Evo for £1500!! lol

There are two novas which total about 2k's worth tho along with parts from the other one.

You sound like you wanna keep so id put it away somewhere and wait till next year when peoples finances start to recover and then possibly think about selling (or just bung it on the road for pv and billing and the like lol)

Tbh, stick the XE in it and add that £500 to the price. It will sell.

I agree, with an xe in it would appeal to many more people for the cash etc. However I think you'd definatly think twice about parting with it then due to the amount of fun you'd be having with it! :)

In which case dont mate, if you can find a way to keep it then do so.

I agree with all the others saying you will stick another £500+ on the asking price if you XE it, but why should you have to, just to sell it?
Youve built styled and painted this car because you like it so who cares if its a 1ltr (err hello low fuel consumption) and if youre anything like me youre starting to realise going fast aint all its cracked up to be, yes ive had an XE nova and driven like a c0ck,i ve had 1.2 novas the last few years and now im in a cav diesel but im not fussed lol

If deep down youre not happy about selling or you dont really want to then dont, youre only gonna have to struggle to find another one in a few months/years when the bug rears its head again as happens to all of us when weve had/loved/hated a nova lol

Sorry for the essay and i hope it sounds to you the way it did to me in my head haha:thumb:

If i try my hardest to drive like a chav then i can hold 52(ish) mpg and will move fairly fast aslong as i keep it above 3k (izuzu turbo lol)

Ok, without reading all the posts (Futurama is on) its the wrong time of year to sell a car with Christmas coming up and the looming recession. Your Nova is worth that all day but realisticially, not any of the days before Christmas.

Lmfbo, Spud the 1.0 engine is about as good a pushing it mate. its the fact it has no rear pull lol im used to 2.0's or at least a lot more than 40brake pmsl.

I'm going looking at a clio williams on sunday, used to have a nice clio 1.8 16v and before anybody slates they are excellent handeling cars, go well and if looked after are failry trouble free. Evo's were working out far too expensive to own, run, maintain and drive at any spiritied level.

if i can get something nice comfy and quick, i will more than likly keep it. Not driving it for a few days has given me a chance to chill out about and not hate it as much lol. Which was the issue "hard day graft, then rollercoaster ride home" The rickety old Big one in blackpool was more refined than the nova lmfbo.

Why use a transit van, they rot more than novas so will be full of holes and all of the milk would run out lol

anything is only ever worth what someone is willing to pay you....credit crunch and all....theres not so much free money floating about that people can splash out this close to Xmas time.

^ what he said. I always say this, people ask "how mcuh is x, y, z worth?" It is worth what someone is willing to pay!
