milage? is your nova a low miler?

hi to all. im conducting a list to try to find out how many miles peoples nova's have done since new. does yours have low, mediam, or high miles on the clock. is it lower than your mate or high than Bob Marly on a sunday morning. does your car look its age or a fresh new born baby still shinig from the time it first came out of the factory. what way can you prove it and is there a story behind it. irispectable of rebuilds, engine conversions and clock changes its how many overal miles the car has done, people with low miles are lucky to find them and people with high miles should be thankful the car still runs lol . either way evryone is a winner.:)
(this isnt a compertion but im just a bit of curious fun)

if as many people can post on this thread and let other member know about it i will be greatful.

mine is on a 1984 B reg that has done 24k and has the service book to prove it. its been stored in a garage for 16 yrs hence the low miles. dont think it was abused before i got my hands onto it but is pritty clean and solid.

I have no idea of the mileage on the novargh, as the dials have been changed quite a few times and I cba to figure it out lol

Celica has done 160k though, 60k of which was with me. Full service history and still runs spot on.

My old Novas were around 110-130k iirc.

as for bodywork looking abit worse for wear now considering it was only painted in 06, joys of using it as an every day vehicle i supose. just on the hunt for as many parts as i can ready for the new paint job next year sometime

Corsa's done 81k (only done 3k in last 24months though)

Astra's done 126k now i think?

EDIT: The Astra has one hell of a story behind it, along with the Nova lol lol

Mine is on a 1984 B reg as well, its done 81k, it was kept in a garage every night from new but still driven every day the shell is spot on bar a bit of stone chips and rusty spots , no major structural rust

my 88 mk1 nova has 45,094 i think lol in the year ive had it, its done 60-80 miles lol, and before the bloke was a mechanic and used it to run around to work and back, while he had a mint sr he was doing up. got all history to back milage up, carpet inside is like brand new dash is the same, steering wheels abit smooth where its bin worn, couple tiny rust marks, but yeah shes mint

H reg GSi LET has done 74k miles, bought it with 67k on 8 years ago, shows how much its been off the road in pieces.

My car has done approx 99k miles and is an 85 plate on a C original engine original headgaket too.

So if we calculate that on a yearly basis thats approx just over 4300 miles.

But it wont be doing any more as the engine needs a double bypass (until the LET goes in muhahahaha)

In terms of condition if you excuse the small areas of bubbly rust coming through it looks very good for its age.

My current one is 68k iirc, its funny though as mileage means nothing...

You could have one with 15k and one with 150k on it and if the 15k one has lived at the seaside all its life and not washed properly then chances are its gonna be fudged whereas if the 150k one has been lovingly washed and polished and stored in a decent garage it could/should be a pearler!

I scrapped the remains of an early E reg SR with fully dealer history and 61k purely because it had more holes than a seive:cry:
