OK - this is gonna seem really stupid...
I have a pair of alpine 6x9's and wanna put them in the back of my Clio now the nova is rotting slowly behind my place... but I don't have anything to use as a template for cutting out the rear shelf.
Any (sensible) suggestions of how to do it would be nice.

I thought about that - but it is a bit hard as I can't line it up right coz of the magnet on the back... bit awkward the other way too.
Need to find a way to make a template for it... but dunno how.
How about the mesh cover that goes on the top of the speakers?

Just realised i got a spare shelf somewhere form another nova with 6x9 cutouts in - if i try the alpines in it and they fit - might as well use the holes as template for shelf in new car.
YEAY!!!
Sorted... I been stressing about htis for ages now too. lol.
or get a bit of card (or paper) cut a hole out the same size as the magnet and housing and slot the speaker through it then draw around the edge of the speaker on the paper
Support it on a raised area like a set of books or summut.
Wht not just turn the speaker upside down? If the mesh is slightly dommed, cant you just get the mesh off then angle a marker in slightly?

I like the idea for using paper with hole cut out for magnet.
Think I will try that.
Cheers lady gents.

sorry mate - me and my mates say sometimes as opposed to ladies and gentlemen... never thought of it as being offensive before.
No harm meant.
