Hi all

Ive just bought another Bike frame to build up. Its a Halo downhill bike (apparently an EX demo bike) but i've spent the last couple of days sanding/polishing the frame up to remove the paint. Im going to paint it up in Lime Green :D.

But

i was just going to use spray paint, Primer then couple of coats of Lime green then Laquer over the top. But i have been told by a mate that theres a powder coating place only 30mins away from me so.

Powder coat it or spray paint ??

Cheers

powder coat
will be a more durable finish
especially for a DH bike!

and as its being done prefssionally will be a better finish than painting it more than likely!

Definately powdercoat as its gonna get some abuse with debris flying at it and when you stack it pulling big air its gonna get funked and spray will just wither and die off whereas powdercoat will just laugh and shout "more"

Or something like that lol

i thought it would be but it'll cost more. I need to save for a nova, parts, Tax, MOT, insurance then money for the trip in august lol

it was my mate that told me about them i still waiting on a contact number for a price. but he got quoted £40 for a 18"x7 wheel. that inculeded sand blasting powder coating and a polish.
