my advise buy the best possable amp and guitar you can as i found that its hard work to learn things when the stuff you have got isnt even capable of making the sort of sounds your after
pluss the better quilaty and better set up the easyer it becomes

steer well clear of that mate its an argos special it will be hard work learning with it trust me

there is a guy on ebay who offers good quilaty guitars and profesional setup on them for about £150 if i can find it i will post a link and that would be a great place to start

personal tuition if you can afford it although according to the history of the guitar on the telly the other night several famous guitarists are self taught by somply owning a guitar and plucking away for years in the comfort of their bedrooms!

I myself - I prefer Air Guitar or Guitar Hero...

Depends what you want to play, you don't need an amp straight away really so throw all your budget at the guitar, get something 'known' and if it doesn't suit you its easy to sell on ;)

Dunno what your budget is but look at Aria or if on the cheap I know J&D Guitars are good.

If your a complete beginner, i say go for it. Because theres no point going out and paying £xxx for gear to just decide you dont like it and leave it sitting collecting dust.

As you get better, you will know what gear you want and collect it as you go.

Ignore it it looks awful. I learned on a Squier strat, and for the money it was great. The yamaha pacifica is another cheap one that is worth buying.
