You could 'up-grade' to some ATE calipers from a 2.0l cav, astra, calibra....etc

Straight swap and are much more powerfull and fell beter to, have a search throught the forum and youll see many people use them on track cars and the such.

STD cheapo motorfactor discs and Mintex 1144 pads and ATE Super Blue fluid. ALWAYS (unless you are killing the pads on track, then up to 1155's or Pagids)

What Stu said! You only driving a 1.2, so not super power so pads and discs from a motor factors should be fine.

im thinkin of puttin a 1.6 in soon so wanted the brakes to be good for that as well so proberly go for the 2.0 brake conversion inless you think 1.6 discs and pads would be the better option?

If you can get some 2.0 brakes from somewhere then yeah go for it. Just check they have decent life left in the discs and pads. Dont want to be forking out for new brakes then have to replace the pads and discs in your new ones!

Check with your insurer before doing any work though.
