tax question

hey guys i am wanting to take me car to a big meet
friday nite at cribbs causeway but at the moment
i dont have any tax, am guna tax it tomorrow but i dont think
it will be vaild till the 1st.

Would i be ok to use it anyway or do i have to wait till midnight before
i can go anywhere?

Wait until the tax is valid unless you want it confiscated/crushed. Although the DVLA has their database, its still an offense to have the car on a public road without displaying a valid tax disc.

Unless you trailer it there and keep it on the trailer/private land?

AFAIK car tax always starts at the begining of the month.

Go to the post office Friday lunchtime and buy the tax.

If you buy it today, you'll effectively be losing a month.

[edit] If you buy the tax today/tomorrow, whatever, it will run from 01/10/08 (hence losing a month)

And yes, that sounds like a mass krooooze lol. Cribbs isn't too bad as its on the outskirts of Brizzle, but I wouldn't want to get lost there on a Friday night and end up in the city.
