getting 2 new doors put on my car after winter and I saw venom motorsport does a conversion kit for these handles for around ?170, I know there will be alot of cutting and filling involved and they will have to be fitted by a bodyshop, what do u recon, is it worth it or not ???? cheers

well in away it is up to you! I have spent over 8 grand so far :o on the Flying Machine so is ?170 that much to you and your Nova if so don't do it, if not do it. I have Mark 3 Astra handles smoothed in to the door so they look small fla nova handles.

There are very good reasons to have handles and also not to have them.

So either don't have any, but if you must, then get some different one's. i.e. Audi (or whatever else you fancy).

Like Matt say's, it depends on how far you take the whole car. If you're not doing too much, then it may not be worth 'doing the details', but if you're already doing loads, then you may aswell do more.

[i'm pissed, so my apologies if all my posts are really stupid tonight]

If you're not doing too much, then it may not be worth 'doing the details' ...

But surely if you cannot afford to spend thousands modifying your car - only doing the samll details which are more affordable will make your car individual in a very subtle way. I quite like the idea myself of a standard nova with only the nandles and other tiny things done that hardly anyone would notice without being shown.

I just ment de-handling the handles or whatever, but leaving the rest i.e steel rims, unlowered.

oh right - i see your point... that would be a bit silly.
be better spending the coins on some wheels first.

But, then again, it'd look better than steel wheels, unlowered and door locks/handles!

If ?170 is too much, why not have a look round your local scrappy for idea's of other handles you could use. If you can find two doors with the handles you want(audi :o ) that have had a hit in the door they will prob let you cut the handle and some of the door away so you weld in your doors(The scrappy near me lets ya) so they look like they were orginals to the car and not just stuck on.

Has neone seen the focus estate door handles.... i think i'm gonna fit them so the crease line runs where the crease on the door is under the window.... should look good

If i keep my central locking... surely all i need to do is modify the lever system to open the hatch...

Yes, the only thing you will have to modify the lever.
