roll cage fitting???

right then ive joined the roll cage band wagon and after a 4 week wait my saftey devices should turn up this week (or demon tweeks have 1 pissed off customer). its a half street cage with no diagonal and im wondering if any1 has any fitting advice. if been told i need a weld plates, use straps, fit without jaking the car and loads of other stuff but wots the real story ???

any good advice or how 2s on the net ???

If you are going for a hardcore structural fit then welding is the best. Really wants to be stripped right out to do this as everything tries to catch fire above and below where you are welding. Otherwise just get it in, mark your holes and then drill to fit. The strap idea is to squeeze it together to make it easier to get it in.
Its a variable job depending on who's made it & how well its designed. It can be real struggle. If you are handy you will find the best way to do it yourself.
