Temp gauge problems

Hi all,

My Temperature gauge has never worked since I got my car (1.0 Mk2 Original Clocks), occasionally it has a fit and flys up and down for a bit but then stops and no read out, where would I start looking for the problem (cant find my haynes manual lol)

check it has a good connection on ur coolant temp sensor m8, it could also be the sensor itself :)

Found my haynes will have a look at it mate

that the lil wiggly spade connector on the inlet manifold ?

might have some corrosion on it, try cleaning it up if so and pinch the spade connector a tad to give it a tighter fit, bit of grease on it too for better contact wouldnt hurt either
