I have a condemned boiler and its fakin freezing and there is no hot water:mad:
Does anyone know how long legally the landlord can leave me without hot water???

In businesses it's spose to be not at all, i think... so I'd imagine something similar, definitely worth looking into refunded rent etc

I know last time my school had heating probs they were legally obliged to send us all home, but it could be a slightly more serious issue there as it's kids and all

Not touching it with condemned sticker on plus he's chopped and capped the gas feed.
Its a concord something. not combi and about 25+ years old

oh yeah they are crap they are made by ideal and the landlord is a tight cnt for not upgrading. thats the jobs i do new combi boiler and raidiators but your too far.

I've just had to sort a boiler for one of my tennants. The landlord can drag it out endlessly if they want to, but if you want a speedy response, call environmental health.

They will come round, make a list of things that have to be done and if the landlord doesn't do it in a week or so, Environmental health will arrange the work to be done and charge a whole lot more for it, so it is in the best interest of the landlord to do it quickly.

Also, the way i got round the boiler issue with one of my places was to get british gas homecare, they came round the next day and fixed the leaky pressure valve. mention it to your landlord, it will save them money.
