He means on the carbs themselves Nick.
There should be a take off on each carb i think.

What model DCOE's are they?

Cant really tell from that pic.
They should be near the edge of the carb(pretty much under the fuel pipes on that pic)

Pic of Dec's Sport
You can see the tubing going from the dizzy, t-ing off to the side of the carb.

Hi mate, the vacuum advance take off's join a T-piece and feed back around to the vacuum advance. On mine I used to steel clips to pick up on the carburettor top plate, this was keep the hoses from flapping around, it cannot be seen underneath the airbox though.

The round plastic switch on the way is something to do with the idle contol, it connects to the electonic module on the inner wing (standard fitment for early SR's and the Sport.) It does appear to work though, keeping the revs up slightly when coming down off throttle.

Here is a better pic with completed fuel lines:

Note, the fuel return line needs to be restricted, failure to restrict it enough will cause the engine to starve of fuel at high revs... as I found out.

On my sport carbs only the right hand carb has the vacuum connected upto the distributer. Its always been that way since I've had the car, does it matter that the left carb's vacuum isn't connected up?

Its fine. IIRC only one Sport carb has the take off for it & that is what made Nova sport carbs unique.

They run fine without the vacuum system piped up at all...
Mine did.

THe vac system just helps with idle.
