View Full Version : Driving soundtrack?
I used to think once upon a time that the ultimate soundtrack and the ultimate driving experience would be "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead whilst tackling a Kielder forest stage in a group B quattro.
Similarly and at a later date "All my Life" by the Foofighters whilst taking on the 'ring in a Radical SR4
Tonight after a change of heart maybe "Ooh La La" by Goldfrapp in a late night motorway charge through Europe in a Mclaren Mercedes SLR. I've had a taste in the DB9 and I want more...... or am I going softlol
I thought induction roar was all the required soundtrack of a good drive?... lol

as heaven is wide by garbage whilst taking on some interesting b roads. or john legend for motorway cruising.
I think i'd have Rammestein Links 234 whilst dealing with high speed LOOS into tower corner at combe.
Bliss :)
it depends on the time & the place......
there are loads of good tracks with the exception of anything ending in '&B',
but driving to ace of spades is still a rare pleasure on an open road... but you wouldn't hear it in kielder in a short quattro, the spectators would have trouble listening to anything else other than the 5cyl unleashing of the fires of hell that a 1985 quattro did.... I will never forget that noise
I have 3 kids, so princess pop party 1,2&3 seem to be king in the family runabout

same here, love the second one
I've always thought that this (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=AQFo2-xZiks) would be a good tune to drive to.
Enter Sandman has always been a very bad song to drive to since it tends to give the car 200 more horses and you end up going wayyyy too fast.

agreed, i cant really drive to rock, air guitar at speed doesnt work too well...
thats where the air drums come in ;)
Various CD's have been removed from my car due to the effects it has on my speed lol

You got that idea from dumb and dumber ;)
Was driving back up to Scotland from the Midlands the other week and my mp3 players loaded with what i think are fab driving tunes - stuff like Rob Zombie (see "need for speed" for an example), Deep Purple (nowt like a bit of Burn, Under the Gun or Speed King), Supergrass or Prodigy. Caught myself shouting along to Carter USM's "lets get tattoos and bloodsport for all" - Mahoosive blast from a dodgy past!

i think rock tunes are always bad to drive with as no matter what they always make you play air guitar or drums
Yeah true pikey1982:p
I was joking about that one lol

Aye, thats why the beautiful radio people can control traffic speeds.
