Picked it up yesterday and totally made up with it, done 22k full history. Decided to treat myself seen as all is going really well for me recently, early crimbo present i suppose.
There will be after pics to come, this is its dirty state, have new fins coming and front triangle in stainless steel from the states. I meg clayed it today and polished it, just needs the wax and the interior doing now.

RX-8 - love these things, one of only a few jap cars I do. What model is it?
Like the way they drive too, had one for a few day and do a couple action days with them. I had a quick lap round Thruxton in one and we entered most corners sideways and powered out/through them. On my Dad's lap they were annoying a F355 lol
sweet mate, the rotary sound is awesome :D
on average on the older 13b's they reckon 60k is the average intervals for re-sealing... (all compression related parts are known as seals lol)
is it the higher power version? 231bhp ?
he did like it (when it ran ok) had alot of misfire problems, and oil leaks
he is allso a mechanic but when a car is under five months old it all warranty work. and you dont expect so many problems.
didnt mean to dis your car mate, nice colour :D

Oh never said you was dude...
Its the 231. And according to everything the problems that early rotaries had have gone and are all good. So they say. We'll see how we go. I dont do big mileage, max of 6k a year. And i always service me cars and always get problems done at the first sign of anything.

nice car mate, they go well and sound well, just make sure you let it warm up defore you switch the engine off, because they flood very easy and are a basid to get started again:thumb:
You will be getting a good deal on the oil to go in it then!
I know 3-4 people who have had one, loved it, sold it.
I think they look great but just geard lots of horror stories from fellow dealers and mech's.
