Though this is making good money for a 5dr.

ebay or pistonheads are hardly true representations of market values.
That Nova is worth about a tenner to your average dealer as a trade-in.
I went to look at a Nova last night, 21k miles from new, didn't ask any questions about it over the phone, but when I got it was a 4 door saloon, and he was looking £900 and wouldn't budge from it! If it had been a five door hatch, I might have considered it, but I couldn't pay that money for a saloon no matter how good it is!!
As much as I like 5 doors that's strong money IMHO.

Nice enough car but 5-dr's have never been sought after.
I really wonder who is actually bidding on that, unless people are getting wise to the tax prices & the ease of maintainance Vauxhalls of that era were renowned for.
Thats what im tempted to think tbh, cheap fuel efficient older cars with cheaper tax, or even big old cars with big engines that wont fall into the £400+ a year tax bracket are going to start flying up in price i reckon, so cars like a cav V6 for example are possibly going to be worth big pennies soon if my theory is correct lol
This is the reason i bought my nova's. If i had the similar stuff as what i will have in the nova on a more modern car i would strugle to insure it.

Compared with say a 52 reg Vectra V6. I fear you might be right.
Big thumbs down must go to the government for dreaming up schemes of devaluing peoples assets in such a charming way.
Re-reading that it's still on the original tyres after 30K
I find that hard to believe.
Plus people must be thinking a Vuxhall MOT is worth more than any other MOT.

They will be long past their best then.
Hmm, if I had £950 to spend, I wouldn't buy that lol
You'd get a half decent SR/SRI/GTE/GSI for that money wouldn't you?
No, jack would buy something jap lol
