it depends on your experience with messing about with panels, fibreglass, filler and welding equipment.

It also depends on how you do it...

There are various ways - most opt for welding a piece of shet metal over the recess, then filling with fibreglass/filler and smoothing off... You may then want to fill the gap at the bottom with a nother pretut piece of sheet metal. You then need to relocate your number plate which usually means modding yer bumper. You'll also need to relocate yer number plate light and if your going to the extreme and removing yer grab handle work out how to open the tailgate once the lock etc are flushed away.

There is wuite alot of work, sanding welding etc but its not impossible to do if not done before.

I considered at one time fashioning a piece of wood ( :o ) to fill the recess, bolt it in place and then fibreglass/fill over it. Dunno if it would work...prob crack...
