1200 cam belt loose

hi,i have a 1200 corsa block with a skimmed 1200 st head. becaues the head is skimmed the timing belt is slightly loose on it and the tensioner is out full. i no there is a way around this something about welding the tensioner but wasn't sure how. does anyone have any ideas????

I take it the water pump doesnt move on them blocks like the other OHC engines? If it does fit a smaller belt and tension on the water pump.
