i basically got a very strong bar from the scrappy and two extremly strong pieces of 5 mm steel plates! ... drilled holes the size of the top of the shocker in the steel platestested see if they fit... then flattened the end of the bar down around the steel plates and welded to size ... this is as strong as one you would buy out the shop but it cost me like a fiver instead of like £50 lol

I like it, I had a set of them wheels ten years ago and they still look good especially black. Personally I'd lower it and put a full nova interior in it. Not everyone has loads of money to perform modifications and everyone is different

erm im defo getting rid of the plastic matts, and that meshed grille im spraying black.. i actually going to spray the whole car black i think i like black nova's. and i wanna put a C20LET into her i can do the conversion myself and yes i no how hard it can be! just a good job im a mechanic ay?
full alloy checker plate the floor, maybe a astra gte steering wheel, tint the windows to hide my subs, change the exhaust to a gte system with 3 inch bb, probs lower it a lil more "80mm" already 60mm drop, and maybe put on some astra gsi bonnet vents oh an a gte digi dash =D

Keep the colour looks great IMO.

All the tinted stuff looks gash IMO and the grill looks out of place.

I'd go for clear indicators, twin fog euro rear lights and it'll look loads better.

removing the bump strips will leave the sticky crap behind but get yourself a fudge/charamel/toffee wheel, whatever you wanna call it, it will get it off in half an hour with no sore fingers or smelly solvet. i cant beleave if its never been out in the rain you would leave it out there :(.

Haze blue is one of my favourite colours :)

Its a bit ott for my liking really but as said earlier just basically back track a bit i.e. standard lights will re-improve it. As for the bumpstrips I would keep them but i'm only saying that because I have lol

Don't break too hard with them subs like that behind your seat as you will end up squashed (no airbags in Novas) ;)

my old nova was also haze blue but the rust got the better of it lol.
and like i said just i did drive it standard for a while but it was terrible if im honest the wheels on my old bmx was wider lol.
now i have some 195s on and lowered it corners faster than a housefly haha!
subs are going to be bolted down as like u said they will fly forward alredi saw that happen in a mates car lol.
i myt go take them bum strips off now to be fair.

car looks like a mint base , but if it was mine i would go fro a gte rep ,

std colour coded gte bumpers and grill,
gte spoiler ,
nova gte interior not astra ,
std orange or clear front indicators,
std rear lights,
remove bump strips,
and fit skirts

also take 1 sub out and just run the one in the boot with a decent amp and decent 6 inch speakers upfront will sound better and look better

all them parts would cost no more the 100 quid tops, so with about 100 of bodyshop work to paint the bumpers and spoiler it would look awsome, but thats my idea , as said its your car and upto you

A strut brace across the shock tops wont really do bugger all, you want it weld iff poss or bolted to the turret for it to really work.

I've read through this thread and I think to sum up why people are negative towards your mods are simply because finding a 30k 1 owner from new 3 door nova just isn't something you find every day. It has the potential to be something mint. There are people on this site who'd love to make this car into something special or to just start a project with something like this. I've got a 3 door merit thats a little bit knocked about but only done 50k and is fairly sound (structually). I'll gladly swap it with yours and some cash. Beens it owes you nothing theres a profit straight away. No-one will care what you nail to it cos it's just an average nova not as clean as yours looks. It's a shame to try and modify a fairly rare car without any budget because you'll have to cut corners to save cash.
Thats the reason people don't want to see this get ruined, because they would like it.
