Best paint to put on metal.

Well i want to stop my roof from rusting from the paint pealing. I know that normal primer will be just as bad as leaving it without anything.

I thought that filler primer is better as its thicker but is it alright as its on the roof and the car is outside all the time?

Is the roof bare metal?
If it is you want an etch primer first.

Just buy some cheap paint and do it with that as a short term fix. The get it painted probley when you can.

You dont wanna leave primer to long where it will get wet and it adzorbs(sp) water.

Bah it will be bare as its started to rust in places from the bird crap and paint pealing off.

Just want somthing so i dont have to redo it untill its painted whenever that may be.
